Top 5 Tips: Holiday Edition!
The holidays are upon us - and this week - it’s more important than ever to protect our peace! On my podcast today, I talk through some of the daily habits I work on all year long and how I try my best to prioritize these things over the holidays too. I’m encouraging you to do the same!
Here are the tips I talk through:
MOVEMENT - working to get those endorphins flowing at least 30 minutes (5-6 times a week).
HYDRATE - work to drink LOTS of water! Keep yourself hydrated - it’s so important!
SLEEP - protect your sleep time (whether that’s consistent night time sleep and/or adding in naps!)
UNPLUG - we live in a world where we’re super connected. That’s a gift as well as something we constantly have to work on when it comes to boundaries. Shut it down and stay present.
LAUGH - this is a big one! And something we often overlook. Do things daily that fuel your mind, body and spirit with JOY. Get yourself into that “belly laugh” state. It’s so good for the soul!
This season is unbelievably wonderful for many reasons. It also brings all kinds of emotion - some good, some hard, some heavy, some uncomfortable.
The things that get stirred up inside us are a part of being human. It’s so important to pay attention to those things and nurture our needs in productive ways. Ways that keep our peace of mind at the center and habits that cultivate positivity in our days. It’s not always easy. But it’s worth it. And it’s important.
Remember - your peace of mind matters. Especially during the holidays.
