I was completely drowning once we made the transition from 1-2 kiddos. I remember standing in my kitchen, shoveling my kids leftover goldfish and sandwich scraps, thinking to myself - “HELP! Throw me a lifesaver! Someone. ANYONE. Seriously. ANY kind of lifesaver that will save me and my sanity!”

I crumbled to the floor in a ball of tears. And I remember that soundtrack in my mind and the desperation so clearly. Kids. Husband. Work. Commuting. Travel. I was so overwhelmed by all the moving pieces that thinking twice about myself let alone what to eat and how to eat was LAST on my list.

Actually - family meal planning wasn’t even on my list - which was evident when we randomly went through the grocery aisles, bought shit we didn’t need, spent WAY more than we needed to, and to top it off, we wasted tons of food because we had ZERO plan on how to efficiently use it! We were in total survival mode.

No matter how crazy our life was, cleaning up meal time was constantly on the back of my mind! I wanted to feel the peace of knowing I was doing whatever I could to instill healthier habits for all of us. But it felt impossible. I was drowning.

Two years ago when I was in the thick of trying to figure things out, our team launched a branch to our business that included a family meal planning service called Take Back The Kitchen. INSERT LIFESAVER!
