I've always been the jock!

I’ve never really been the best at doing the girl thing…

I’ve always been the jock. The rough one with her hair up. The loud yet super self-conscious lady that does better as “one of the guys.”

So when I’m invited to a weekend away - in one house - with some women I’ve never met?! Cue total emotional and mental overwhelm.

Three weeks ago, I earned a trip to Florida for my work as a coach. And while it was anxiety inducing to decide if I deserved to go ( #momguilt ) - I went because my soul as a woman needed it.

This group of women (and our entire team) have changed my life.

The deep conversations.
The fast friendships.
The not having to explain yourself or defend your personality.

No pretending.
No “toning things down.”
No justifying your love for working out on vacation!

This crew feels like home.
A place where you’re understood.

And as a mama, who’s still working to unpack my new identity in motherhood, those things are the greatest gifts of all…

To simply be loved and accepted.

Let this be your reminder…

It’s OK to pour into yourself.
It’s OK to share what you’re passionate about.
And it’s OK to step out of your comfort zone.

I know that’s not easy as a mama - but there are MANY other mamas out there - just like me - that want to connect with you, love on you and lift you up in this crazy, awesome, hard, exhausting season.
