Boundaries + Motherhood

Let me preface this by saying ALL of these feelings are ABSOLUTELY valid and OKAY. And you better believe they co-exist on this journey called Motherhood! This shit ain't easy...

However...

I believe there are many ways we can proactively make things feel a little better, a little easier and a little more manageable when we CHOOSE to set-up boundaries.

If you're struggling with feeling good throughout the day.
If you're low on energy.
Low on will and desire.
And feel like you're running on empty as a mom, wife, business owner, employee, friend and beyond....
Read on for my best advice.

I've been digging hard into the following during my therapy sessions and I want to pass them along to you too. ASK yourself these questions...

1. Am I prioritizing my health? Or is it last on the list?
2. Am I speaking up about my needs?
3. Am I saying NO when I truly want to say NO?
4. Do I wake up and IMMEDIATELY dive into devices and the agenda of others?
5. Do I have boundaries set-up on when I'm available beyond my family?
6. How often do I feel the need to "check out" mentally?
7. And in turn - what do I do during those times?
8. Am I working intentionally in "buckets"?
9. Am I unnecessarily switching gears with no plan?
10. Am I easily distracted?

I'm a MAJOR work in progress on all of this. But I will say, I've 100% noticed how I feel during the day when my boundaries are rock solid vs. non-existent. If you’re a Mama that’s constantly working and re-working on boundaries, please know you’re never alone! Start with getting self-aware and work your way into small, simple steps - one day at a time. 🙏🏻
