Giving Yourself Grace

Are you someone that can work anywhere? Anytime? Feeling like there’s no way to really escape the demands and the to-do lists?

That’s one of the greatest gifts about my job as a wellness coach. The connectivity power of technology is truly an amazing, wonderful gift. BUT it’s also one of the hardest pieces to manage...

I have MANY days and moments where I question if I’m doing the right thing. For myself. For my marriage. For my kids.

I wonder if I’m setting a good example or showcasing bad habits of too much technology time?

I wonder if I’m making a positive impact or creating a disconnect?

I wonder if I’m showing what true, authentic encouragement means, even when I’m not always face to face with people?

Kids truly learn by your example. And quite honestly - that is one scary statement to digest.

Mostly because I’m not perfect and I know there are decisions I make and behaviors I exhibit that I DO NOT want my kids to learn or follow...

But it’s moments like this where I remember the importance of GRACE. And remember that even through ALL the imperfection, kids will find the good, the positive, the joy. More than anyone!

“Thumbs up like Mommy!” was exclaimed by their little voices during this picture. And it made my heart melt. ♥️

It made me realize they do see the positivity I’m trying to share. It made me realize even when I feel like I’m effing it all up, somehow I’m still getting something right.

And also...a good reminder that I really do give the “thumbs up!” often in my pics and videos. 😂

The message today? You’re doing great mama. They see your heart. They feel your intentions. Give yourself Grace along this imperfect journey. All we can do is our best. ♥️
