I'm a "strong" one... #mentalhealth
*TRIGGER WARNING*
You're looking at a picture of one of the "strong" ones. A strong one that most don't check up on. And while I've never called 988 for help, I remember the first time I googled suicide like it was yesterday. #mentalhealthawareness
I was a brand new mom.
And I felt utterly lost and alone.
While nothing went beyond my google search that day, it's a hard moment I'll never forget. And the help I received is something I am forever grateful for.
I'm sharing the raw part of my heart because I know there are other women out there - like me - that have been in a pit of despair. And understand the heavy reality that comes from that place.
Women. Mothers. So many humans. Overwhelmed, anxious, hurting, lost, scared and feel completely isolated - even when they're surrounded by people, jobs and family all the time.
And we honestly need to TALK about it. So much more.
So here I am. Talking about it more.
And know - vividly - that my story is a gift and a blessing HE has called me to share.
I have learned so much over the past 11 years as a mom. I've been completely shattered. And I've built myself back up. Maybe you're in one of those places too. And we're going to talk about it. Together. Because life isn't meant to be managed (internally) alone.
No more pretending or faking it because we think we "have to".
No more trying to be something we're not so we're accepted or included.
No more burying the deeper, harder, uncomfortable emotions and letting them rip our health apart.
Mental Health Matters. And I will preach it, support it and normalize it for forever.
I will share what I know. What works, what doesn't, how to get support, get self-aware, advocate and more. I will do all that I can to share the REAL that comes with this very important topic because without our mental well-being - we can't step into loving ourselves and learning what we need.
Praying BIG that we continue to make waves in the mental health game by sharing MORE truth!
And sending my love to all of you.
You matter. Your story matters.
Never, ever forget that. ❤️
