Giving Back to Mamas!
I remember feeling so frickin’ unglued. So stripped bare.
So not myself.
I felt like my brain was on fire some days. Not being able to make sense of my new norm and all the change and how sad and lonely and isolated I felt.
I’ve been a mom almost 11 years - and I still feel waves of this mental and emotional chaos… 💕
Motherhood was such a new thing.
And something I knew would take major time to grow into.
One of the worst things about postpartum health is the absolute lack of support that exists for mamas. It’s atrocious.
And the expectations to just “get back to it” without allowing REAL time to process… that’s even worse.
I’m so passionate about the work I do because I want moms to feel SEEN, supported, validated and empowered throughout every little life transition they go through.
From birth.
To postpartum care.
To going back to work.
To navigating relationship change.
To growing into your motherhood identity.
To helping your kids grow.
To learning to nurture YOU too…
There’s so much transition.
There’s so much change.
And YES. It IS A. LOT.
Mental Health Matters.
Maternal Mental Health Matters.
Care + Support for Mamas Matters.
And speaking up about the needs and the gaps matters too!
Throughout the month of May, I’m hosting a give-back campaign for maternal mental health. A portion of all purchases will be donated back to 2020 Mom - a non-profit organization working hard to fill gaps in maternal mental health care for mamas.
